Jaden turns 3

On Dec. 20th, 2007 (He was due Jan. 4th, that's a little over 2wks early) 12:02 am Jaden Matthew Emery was born at 10lbs 5 oz. Look at that face he was a CHUNK. Right before he was born the doctor said she had delivered a 10 pounder (that morning). She doubted our baby would be that big. She was shocked.

This was three days before I delivered. We were trying to take our Christmas card picture. I was so ill because I had been to the Dr. that day and she told me I was doing "nothing"! And she would see me at my next appointment. I asked her about the size of the baby, because Morgan weighed 8lb 9 oz and Jack weighed 8lbs 13oz. She said this is a 7 pounder at most.... little did she know. Look at how big I was. Thank goodness he was big. I would have been embarrassed. I felt really good, for being that big. The only pregnancy issue I had was itchy palms and feet. I have scars where I scratched in my sleep. Poor John, between scratching and snoring he moved to the couch.

The morning after he was born my Mom brought Morgan(6) and Jack(3) by before school to see their new baby brother. They were very excited to get to hold him. Morgan fed him a bottle and Jack held him for a while. Great big brothers.

This was a picture of me the second time I got to hold him. They handed him to me right after he was delivered and then I did not get to hold him for almost 4 days. Unknowing to me or my doctors I had developed Placenta Accreda. That is where the placenta grew into my uterine wall. I was told I looked good in this picture. So, I must have looked pretty rough. I am very grateful to GOD that I lived. I can't imagine missing these past 3 years. HE put all the right doctors, nurses and staff in the right place at the right time. I am thankful to my awesome husband who took care of me and my baby. Running from one end of the hospital to another. Between me (CCU) and Jaden (nursery). I am thankful to my awesome friends Megan, Susanna, Rachel who watched my other boys so that John and my Mom could take care of me and Jaden. I am thankful for Jaden's pediatrician who asked the nursery staff would watch over Jaden even though he had been discharged. Otherwise, John or my mom would have to go home with him while the other stayed with me. GOD is good....

This is Jaden at his first birthday "licking" the beaters. I think he liked the beaters better than his birthday cupcakes. We had his party at Grandmother and Granddaddy's. Lots of friends and family came.

Wow, how time flies! His second birthday, we made cupcakes at home and just did the family thing. For such a fat baby he has slimmed down a lot.

Jaden this fall at the Pumpkin Patch. We are looking forward to watching him grow. I have been warning Morgan and Jack that he will probably end up being taller than them... He is already wearing 5T clothes. He is catching up to Jack fast. I can't believe that he is 3. Thank goodness he still likes to be my baby. But he already would rather hang with the "boys".

Disney Day 6- Hollywood Studios and Epcot

In our striving to get it all done we finished up all four parks in four days. So we looked at the maps and decided what things we would like to do again or anything we might have missed. That is what we did on day 6.

7am on day 6. That is one crowded bed. Notice poor Jorge the Monkey fell out of bed. I guess he was the casualty for that day.

Love Bugs!!! As the story goes, these love bugs (I don't know their real name) were brought to Florida to get rid of mosquitoes. We were told it did not work. It may have been the time of year we were there but we did not see any mosquitoes, but we could not get away from the Love bugs. If you don't know they are called LOVE bugs because they are "stuck" together. Try explaining that to your kids all week.

This is a picture of the outside of our hotel/check-in area. This is were we went every morning to wait for our bus.

Jack inside the waiting area for Toy Story Mania. They had giant game pieces: Sorry, Candy Land, Operation and my personal favorite Chutes and Ladders. While I was getting fast-passes for Toy Story Mania, John and the boys got in line to ride it. We only waited maybe 15 min. So we got to ride it twice.
This is what John looks like in 3D.

These boys rode the Tower of Terror. The lines were not long so we rode it multiple times. Can you believe that Jaden(2yrs old) was tall enough to ride? We did not let him though. John got video of Jack after his first trip and he said "That was AWESOME!" Morgan loved it. While going to get back in line to ride it again we ran into some friend from church. They said they had dinner reservations and could not use their fast passes. They gave them to us. Thank you Inmans! We had a blast.

OK can we get down now and ride again!

I took a picture of the picture of me, Jack and Morgan(back seat) riding the Rocking Roller Coaster. When we were waiting in line for the ride the couple in front of us were talking about when they take your picture. Right as you take off you see all these flashes as the cameras flash. So we planned our poses and this is what we got. It was so much fun, we made different faces each time we rode.

Posing with the sign. Jack was so proud of himself for riding such a big ride. Of course, I did not think this was as bad as the Tower of Terror.

Again...

Brotherly love. They really were great. Not very much fussing or fighting.

Doing their silly faces.
When we were at Hollywood Studios earlier in the week the wait was to long for Jedi Training. So we checked on it this day. There was a 90 min wait. So John stood in line while I took the boys to the bathroom and checked on some places to eat dinner.

Jedi Morgan and Jedi Jack waiting for their lesson.

Listening closely to instructions.

Jack saying "What do you mean I don't get to keep the light saber?"

The boys with their Jedi diplomas.

I think this was Jaden's favorite roller coaster type ride. You get in a GM car and run it through a battery of test situations. Including going into a curve at around 70mph. There was no line so we rode it 4 times.
There are not any pictures but we went back to Epcot and rode Soaring. Jack found a new friend who sat beside us. I had to tell him to be quiet because he was telling them everything that was happening. That is a cool ride. We rode one time at the bottom and once in the middle. I thought riding in the middle was more realistic.

Disney Day 5- Pool and Downtown Disney

Since we only had passes for 6 days in the parks we decided to use Wednesday as a free day. A day to sleep in hang out at the pool and see Downtown Disney. I think we slept until 10:30.

This is the pool we swam in. It was really neat. Water squirts out of the guns. The water was pretty cool. As we walked around we found out that there were a ton of activities at the pool everyday. If we had know earlier I would have planned to take part.

We walked around and checked out other hotels in the Pop Century area.

Mr. Potato Head and my spuds outside The Toy Store. Inside they had bins of Potato Head parts(arms, feet, faces, hats, ears, Darth Vader suits and much, much more.) So you could sit there and build many different Potato Heads. Kinda like the Lego Store but with Potato Heads. They also had a touch screen Potato builder computer. Jack could have stayed in there forever.

Also in front of the Toy Store. Buzz Light Weird.

The Lego Store! The boys were almost as excited about this as they were about coming to Disney.

This place was really cool. We did not eat there but we walked inside and checked it out.

Jack trying on some $100.00 glasses in a shop. OK put them back now before they get broken! Whoever makes $100.00 glasses for kids does not have kids/boys.

Jack trying on a Goofy hat. The boys had a blast in this store trying on all kinds of hats.

Rasta Jack and Merlin Morgan trying on hats.

More hats!

Double hats!

Were did Morgan go. He's gone Goofy!

This was a man painted all red and standing like a statue. A mother sent her child over there to stand and get her picture made. He put his hand on her shoulder and she screamed. The boys loved that she got tricked.
This was a very nice day for a break. No rushing around trying to get somewhere. Resting up for Day 6.

Disney Day 4- Epcot

Once again we were up at 7am.

I wonder where Jack is?

Oh there he is! He fell out of bed in the middle of the night. I think maybe he was pushed, because Jaden was already in his place. So I just put him in bed with us.

The Seas was our first stop. There was an aquarium with sharks, sea turtles, sting rays and all kinds of other sea life.

This was the street percussion band. It was really neat.

It is hard to tell but this was in China. That girl has more hula hoops than I can count. She also did a handstand while balancing a bowl on her head. After this we watched the 360 degree movie about China. It was very interesting.

The boys with Nemo. We went to Talk Turtle with Crush, and Jack got called out of the audience to talk to Crush. Did you see that mom, I talked turtle.
While in the American area of Epcot we went to see the America's Show. Morgan and John decided this would be a good time for a nap. I guess the figured they knew enough about that. They also had a light and laser show that was amazing. It rained this day so we decided to go in and eat dinner at The Coral Reef. It was so loud in there. I don't know if it was noise vibrating off the aquarium glass or just all those people trying to get out of the rain. Morgan was getting a headache so he asked if he could just go hang out in the bathroom. John and I thought that was so funny.

Disney Day 3-Magic Kingdom

We got up at 7am again.

These boys are worn out.

Magic Kingdom all decorated for Halloween.

The boys were ready to hit the park.

Disney employees drew these with a broom and water. Isn't that amazing.

The castle. We did not even go in. We asked the boys if they wanted to go in. They did want to go up to the very top. Since that was not an option, they passed.

They boys with Ducky Crockett in Frontier land.

John decided to jump in the picture. To prove that we were there.

The safari ride. Jaden looks thrilled. I think he was just tired. Our guide was hilarious. He just kept doing little one liners that only John and I got.

Aladdin's magic carpet ride. One of Jaden's favorites.

John taking his and Morgan's picture on Aladdin's magic carpet ride.

Going into the Hall Of Presidents.

This is a great place to cool off and get a nap.

All of the Presidents.

Jaden was getting an early start on his nap. I might have dozed a couple of times. Morgan and Jack were good sports about waiting to see things that John and I wanted to go to.

John and I were very much looking forward to The Carousel Of Progress. It was a little bit of a let down. I felt like a lot more had changed since I was there last.

Jaden was more interested in the dog and anything else.

Morgan was angry that he did not get more wet on Splash Mountain.

Jack sat with me and of course we got drenched. He was thrilled. I think that is why Morgan was so angry.
On the train. We rode every train that we could find.

John and I on the train. Notice John's Happy Birthday Pin. Every Disney Employee told him Happy Birthday!

Jaden waving to the train. The conductor blew the whistle for him. He loved it.

Dumbo. No not me the ride! Jack was in control of our altitude. He thought it was funny to be either really high or really low.

John taking his and Mo's pic on Dumbo. Have I mentioned how much fun we had?
