Disney Day 1- Animal Kingdom

We left our house at 11:30pm. Stopped sometime around 6am for gas and breakfast. John drove through the night. And tried to rest after we ate. As you can tell from the kids faces, he didn't get very much.

Are we there yet?

Are we there yet?

Are we there yet?

We're there, We're there! From here we found our hotel, checked in, made reservations for supper, and we're off!

This is John going on 24hrs with no sleep. He is a trooper and did awesome. The boys were so excited to have their "first visit" pins.

Our first park was Animal Kingdom. We had heard that this was the "easiest" park. So, we decided to do it on the day John had not had much sleep.

The boys getting their pic made with a dinosaur and the old dude smoking.

The boys and I checking out the animals. We saw Tigers, Gorillas, Lions, a baby giraffe. The tour guide told us there was a 3 week old giraffe. They had not put it out with the others yet.

Jack, Jaden and I sitting a spell, on a train no doubt. It was hot. Not unbearable but still humid.
Morgan and Jack were great sports about doing stuff that Jaden liked too!

John still smiling. He really is a great dad!

Sun going down on the boat ride to supper at Fort Wilderness. It was a nice buffet with "real" tea. We heard that this is the only place that served "real" tea. And it was every other place was black tea, green tea, or HOT tea! It was 90 and they served HOT tea. They called it sweet but it was not as sweet as I like it.
I believe we got to the hotel at 11pm and after showers went to bed at midnight.
